Wow, what an impressive achievement. The partnership of renowned vignerons who are responsible for this deep, dark, rich and vibrant New World wine from the Old World may just start a new French revolution. A Grenache/Syrah blend, the 2011 CERCIUS Cotes du Rhone presents itself in stark contrast to those serious French wines that sell at seriously high prices. The new paradigm here is seriously good wine at a ridiculously fair price. If this revolution will be televised, we may be sitting back in our lounge chairs 20 years from now gauchely reflecting back on when there was a time $15 wine was only good for country peasants. As is, this wine would pass as rich enough for the upper crusts of society living under the reign of King Louis. And by Louis, I mean Louis Vuitton. –J.M.
